Hospitality Design: Plant-Based Restaurant PLANTA Sprouts in Brooklyn

Plant-based restaurant PLANTA has unveiled its latest location in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Like its predecessors, the eatery evokes a handcrafted aesthetic complete with natural materials, earth tones and textures, and abundant greenery.

Designed by ICRAVE, the new PLANTA conveys authenticity through the honesty of its material palette. “The imperfect details found throughout the restaurant are a nod to the neighborhood—Williamsburg celebrates artists, imperfections, and nature,” says ICRAVE design director Greg Merkel. “We used creative ways to ‘hide’ imperfections by blending them to make them part of the design.”
