Given its address is 53 West 53rd Street, there was really only one name for the new contemporary Asian restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred Singaporean chef Akmal Anuar. Open now is 53, a pristine space from design firm ICRAVE, located in the Jean Nouvel–designed residential building above the newly expanded wing of the Museum of Modern Art.
